Welcome to the new DCECA

The message starts here

Formerly the “Washington Speechwriters Roundtable”, The DC Executive Communications Association is a network of communications professionals who work in speechwriting, corporate communications, thought leadership, and executive branding across all industries.

Helping leaders say what they mean

Beyond speechwriting

The new DCECA, replacing the long-running Washington Speechwriters Roundtable, is a NONPARTISAN member group that promotes all aspects of leadership communications and helps its members improve their skills and advocate for the profession. While speechwriting has long been the backbone of this type of work, DCECA recognizes that the profession is evolving in numerous directions.

We promote peer-to-peer exchange through in-person events, virtual learning, and best practice-style resources.

Membership in the group is free and available to any professional who writes, strategizes, and advises leadership.
